Cemetery History & Reportings: MPR went on this outing to assist a college student who is filming a documentary on what he believes to be the original Stull Cemetery. Based upon the features of the cemetery as described by the original reports of the haunting, he believes that the actual haunted Stull Cemetery is in another location other than the one that is most commonly known. Rather this was the actual Stull Cemetery, we do not know, but the cemetery we visited was located in Stull, Kansas and exists high upon a hill overlooking the town. The majority of the tombstones located in this cemetery (about 30) were dated in the 1880’s, however there were many unmarked graves and stones that were too weathered to read.   Stull Cemetery is reported to be one of "The Seven Gateways to Hell." Reported Findings and Experiences: + An EVP of a female voice singing in a high pitched voice could be heard in the background as Misty did her reading. + Several good orb photos were captured on digital camera. + There were several camera malfunctions and malfunctions of audio equipment but due to the cold weather temperatures, natural causes for these malfunctions could not be ruled out. + Misty captured several photos of ghost mist and light energy on 35mm film.

Psychic Readings: MISTY + I hear a mother and child crying. They are up here somewhere. (Misty walked to a stone which contained the names of a father, mother and a son named Tommy who died at the age of 6.) + Someone out here is buried on top of someone. They are not happy about it. They are upset. + Some of the people here have died of old age. Seems like they all have pretty well gone into the light, but a few have stayed because they are worried about what people will think of them. They are afraid of going into the light. + There is a coven of Wiccans buried here. The main witch is buried under this tree. There are 8 of them buried here together. They don’t have markers but they are here. The main witch had a marker. That’s the one that’s under the tree. + There are children here. The whole family. The children all died within a couple of years of each other. (Stones were found of children who died within the same family in the years 1887, 1890, 1893, 1895, 1900) What happened to these children? Why did they die within a couple of years of each other? That big stone has been replaced. It’s like the children did not get past a couple of years of age apart. Pneumonia, chicken pox, chicken pox, this one here, something was wrong with this child. Some kind of health problem, some kind of deformity. The mother is not buried here with her children. I don’t feel the father is buried here either. The big stone does not go with the children. They have a different name. They want their momma. (An EVP was captured here of what sounded like a woman singing in a high pitched voice. Two photos were taken at this time of a tree where Misty felt that a witch was buried. Both photos captured a bright orb in that tree. EMF readings also indicated a presence just prior to the EVP.) The children’s last name was not R___ as the stone says. The children’s last name is Smitten or Smiten, or something like that. Elias and Bertha. Their parents are not buried here. + There is a creek nearby. There is a line of people walking, walking. They are walking along a path. There used to be an Indian settlement to the northwest. + There is a man who follows you. (Misty is speaking to the young man who is producing the documentary.) He has a long face, he has a funny mustache which comes down long, like a goatee, neatly trimmed. He has brown hair with some gray in it. He did some kind of woodworking, some kind of crafter. He had a business in Lawrence on the main street. His name is Richard S____. They have a son buried here. His name was Franklin or Frank. His stone is missing. + There was a very small cabin that used to be up here on this land. + The spirits here say you have gotten all the footage that you need. You just need to work on the history now.

MPR SUMMARY MPR does not feel that the Stull Cemetery is any more haunted than any other cemetery. Most of the rumors surrounding Stull Cemetery are most likely over-blown imaginations and urban legends. We did capture some evidence which indicted that the cemetery is still visited by the spirit world, however we did not feel that any of these presences were menacing.   In all fairness to this investigation, investigative conditions were far from ideal. It was very cold and the wind was blowing very hard, making it difficult to get audio recordings. More evidence may have been obtained had conditions been better.
