Brief
Home and Property Description & History: +
The house
was built about 1929 and was used as a hospital from 1930 until 1946. It
was converted into a nursing home after the opening of a larger hospital
in the community in
1947 and remained in operation until
the 1960’s. During it’s hospital years, many surgeons and specialists
performed their operations there. Sometime
during the 1960’s the nursing
home was shut down and later sold as a private residence. +
Research of the earlier plat maps indicate that a structure (most likely
another home) existed on the property as early as 1877. In searching the
probate records of the past property owners, we found that the original
structure on the property was
primarily used as rental property
until at least 1912. + The house consisted of 3 large bedrooms and a full bath upstairs; a living room, dining room, sun room, another large room, a kitchen and a ½ bath on the first level and a cellar. It was reported that the sun room was used as the surgical room during the years it was used as a hospital. + A buried footstone was found in the yard which prompted the homeowners to call the Historical Society in an attempt to find some history about a lost cemetery. They put the homeowners in contact with Brenda who dowsed the property. She picked up approximately 40 graves in the area where the footstone was found. No written history about a cemetery on that property could be located, however research continues. |

Current
Owner Reportings: +
Female homeowner was
remodeling the bathroom while her husband was outside mowing. She felt
someone tapping on her shoulder, turned to speak to her husband but no one
was there. Her husband was at the other end of the property. +
Pet dogs have barked, growled and bared teeth at one of the walls in the
living room for no apparent reason. + Footsteps have been heard in rooms which were unoccupied. +
Curtains have moved with no explanation for the movement. +
Daughter saw a bright light in the center of the porch room when the room
was pitch black. + Homeowners were told by someone who was a friend of a previous owner that one of the closet floors in the master bedroom had been replaced because they kept hearing creaking noises coming from the closet. When this replacement did not stop the noises from occurring, they sprinkled powder on the floor of the closet and where they later found footprints. The footprints were contained within the closet and did not extend outside. + Homeowners moved out of the house the weekend prior to our investigation. Upon awaiting our arrival, the daughter heard noises upstairs which sounded like something rolling across the floor. Except for a few boxes downstairs, the house was void of any objects or furniture. |

Reported
Findings and Experiences: +
During the investigation, the homeowner’s daughter went into one of the
closets in the master bedroom. She reported feeling something touch her on
the back of the neck. + Digital photos taken while Misty was stating that the “old man” was moving from closet to closet, showed an orb which appeared on one closet door and then between the two closets. This was the only time that orbs were photographed in that vicinity of the master bedroom. An interactive EVP was also recorded at this time while Misty went from closet to closet, asking the “old man” to come out. Misty said, “Come on out”, followed by the old man saying “Uh-Huh”, then Misty again said, “Come out” and he replied, “When You’re Asleep.” +
While Misty was giving her reading in the east bedroom and stating that a
woman was present, two digital photographs taken at that time captured an
orb in the closet. This
was the only time that orbs were
photographed in that room during the investigation. +
Daughter’s boyfriend reported feeling sick at his stomach while he
leaned against a wall in the master bedroom. After being told move to a
different spot, the stomachache dissipated.
He then returned to the same spot and felt the stomachache return.
MPR refers to this type of phenomenon as phantom pains, impressions left
by someone who suffered them. +
While MPR was gathering their equipment before the clearing, the upstairs
hallway filled with the smell of heavy, cheap perfume. Everyone who was
upstairs at the time, smelled the perfume. Brenda asked if someone had on
perfume and an EVP was recorded of a voice saying, “I
Wanna Be.”
None of the team members present were wearing perfume. While
discussing the perfume smell it was
replaced with what smelled like a Swisher Sweet cigar. +
Several clicks were heard in the east bedroom while we were gathering our
equipment in the north bedroom. It was first thought that the tape
recorder in the east bedroom had shut off but it was still on and
recording when we checked. The clicking noise was not picked up by the
recorder in that room. +
Returning downstairs to the living room, Misty
heard the
clicking sound
again. After commenting about the sound and while heading into
the kitchen, a voice was
recorded saying what sounds like, “He’s Here, Come Back.” +
Just before the clearing an EVP was recorded of a voice saying, “I
Don’t
Care.” +
6 more possible EVPs were recorded during the investigation. Two of those
were in the master bedroom of a voice saying, “Guide
Me” and “Oh,
Beautiful.”
No one was in the room at the time of these two recordings.
Another EVP recorded in the living room was of a voice saying what sounds
like, “I Had
Spasms.” Three
additional EVPs were recorded in the east bedroom which sounds like a
female saying, “Fan
Me” or “Family” and a male voice saying what sounds like “Blanket.”
There
was no one upstairs when these 2 EPVs were recorded.
The third EVP was recorded during a conversation in the hallway
between Brenda and the daughter’s boyfriend. On
the recording, you’ll hear Brenda say
“thank you”. A raspy male
voice saying “Hey”
comes
through between the words "thank" and
"you". |

Psychic
MISTY
*Misty received no information about the homes history, other
than it was used as a hospital and nursing home prior to the
investigation.
Outside +
There
is a grave over here. Maybe a couple of them. This was in an area
where a footstone was found bearing the initials M.A.H. Brenda had
previously dowsed the yard and felt there were approximately 40 bodies
buried on the edge of the property, extending just beyond the bordering
property.
Was there a family here by the name of + I’m picking up 6 babies buried over here, mainly
miscarriages. I think there may have been a marker here for them at one
time but it’s not here anymore. + I’m only feeling the one grave where the marker is. Just the
woman. + There used to be an old incinerator around here somewhere near
the back of the property. + This big hollowed out tree is going to come down pretty soon. + There about 8 or 9 bodies underneath the parking lot over
there. It’s a family, but they are very old graves. There are more
bodies over further but they are more scattered, more like trail burials. + Was there another house before this one up in here?There was another
house here, a smaller one. + I’m feeling like there may be a cemetery down here along the
hillside. It starts down here near the last row of the grapevines and
extends across the yard to the back of the neighbors property. Brenda
returned to dowse this area after the investigation. She did not find any
graves but instead located a large pool of underground water in this same
area which matched the coordinates that Misty gave for the cemetery. + There is a lady looking out the upstairs window at me. She’s
looking for something. I won’t know what she’s looking for until I go
inside. I’m ready to go in because she’s waiting to tell me something.
I need to find out what she has to say. INSIDE Upon entering the house, Misty was instantly pulled to the upstairs east bedroom. Sarah Jean Jacobson. Remember that name. She’s up here. East Bedroom + I’ve got goose bumps all over me. This was a delivery room.
There was where all the babies were born. Sarah Jean is looking for her
baby. She died three days after her baby died. She wants us to help her
find her baby. She hemorrhaged. The baby was born dead. She carried it
full term. She thought when she woke up that her baby would be with her
but it wasn’t. She named the baby Angela and she called in Angel for
short. Angel is one of the babies buried outside. I have to leave this
room for a minute. Some photos taken
during this reading show an orb in the closet. No orbs were photographed
in the room after the reading. + Sarah Jean didn’t go into the light because she didn’t believe them when they told her the baby was dead. She stayed to look for her baby. She’s still here.
North
Bedroom + There were children in this room. I see two children, probably
around 4 or 5 years old. They liked to play in here because the floor is
uneven and they could roll their balls back and forth to each other.
Between 1930 and 1940, maybe? The two children in here were twins, a boy
and girl. Randolph and Rachel. I’m seeing them with balls and jacks.
They say, “A long time ago.” I can’t get their last names. I’m
just seeing this time period. I’m feeling that this was their room. I
don’t know why. They may have lived here before it was a hospital or
maybe after. I’m not seeing them as being sick. She’s not talking but
he is. They could be 6 or 7. It seems like this was the 1930’s or
1940’s around Christmas time. I don’t know why they are here but they
are. Homeowner’s
daughter reported that she could sometimes here what sounded like children
playing in the room, sounds of a bouncing ball, etc.
Upstairs
Hallway + There is a nurse walking around downstairs. The kitchen
wasn’t like it is now. It was different. + The whole back of the house (upstairs) is different. It wasn’t
set up like this. There was a sink in here and a claw-foot tub but it
wasn’t set up like it is now. After Misty’s reading, the
boyfriend stated that the current homeowners had done a lot of remodeling
to the house, including the upstairs bathroom and kitchen. Master
Bedroom + This is not good in here. There is an old man in here and he’s
not a happy man. He was here after it was a hospital. There was a man who lived
here who was a very cranky, very negative type of person. This man is a
very upset and angry man. He’ll be the one that is shutting doors and
banging up against stuff because there was somebody here who was suppose
to help take care of him who was abusive. He was angry about the way that
we was neglected, not taken care of and not treated right.
He’s a very upset man. Homeowner’s daughter stated that her aunt used to work there when
it was a nursing home and that she could verify that some abuse was going
on. She could also verify that her aunt spoke about an angry man being
there at one time. + I don’t want to open that closet. I know his energy will pop
right out of there. I’m having chest and back pain. Do you know if this
man was bed-ridden pretty much? It was like he had a stroke or something
because I’m feeling pain on one side and then there is no feeling on the
other side. Did your mom or anyone hear banging on the wall? He would slap
the wall whenever he wanted attention.. He would slap the wall with his
left hand because he couldn’t use his right hand. He didn’t talk very
well, his words were garbled. I’m trying to get his name but he won’t
give it to me. I’m not going to push him any further or get him more
upset. After the
investigation, the daughter reported back to MPR that she had spoken with
her aunt about this angry man. Her aunt was able to confirm that he did
slap the wall when he wanted attention, that he had difficulty talking and
that he died of a heart attack. + The name Henry popped in. I’m not sure if it was his name or someone else’s. He controls this whole room. This is his domain. He hangs out in the closets. He feels very safe in there for some reason. He goes from one closet to the other. Photos taken in this room show an orb that seems to move from one closet to the other. No orbs were photographed in any other area of the room, except between these two points. He doesn’t hang out so much in the end closet as what he does in the side closet. He’s here. He hasn’t gone into the light but we’re going to help him go there. He doesn’t need to be stuck here. He’s angry about what happened to him and that he’s still stuck here. He makes me dizzy. Misty asked the homeowners daughter to go into the closet and she reported feeling as if something was rubbing the hairs on the back of her neck.
+ The old man stayed here because of the abuse he took from the
nurse. He’s not happy with her. He says she’s still alive. I’m
getting the first initial of R. I don’t know if this was her name or the
name of his wife or daughter. The name of Ruth or Ruthie stands out.
Living Room +
Basically
this was a waiting room area. The doctors would check the patients out in
here but it was open then. I can see people going up and down the
staircase. I can see a nurse walking around in that other room. She’s
not a ghost, though. She just comes back through to check on things.
She’s more of an impression. + They had aura lamps on the walls in here.
Sun Room It is reported that surgeries took place in this room because of
the natural lighting the windows provide. + I’m not feeling much in here. Whatever energy comes in here
feels like it comes from the outside of the house. Sort of like people
passing through, going in and out, in and out, lots of energy whipping
through real quick. I don’t know how else to explain it. I’m just
feeling people passing through. I’m not feeling anything negative in
here. I’m not feeling that anything bad happened in here. The sensation
I’m getting is more of a swishing sensation. Nothing is hanging around
in here. It’s just passing through. Cellar + I feel an old coal chute down here. I can smell the coal. + There is also another space in here that I can’t see but I
can feel it. + They kept bodies down here after they
passed away until they could be dealt with. They kept them here because it
was cooler down here. + There is like another spot down here, like a hidden wall or hidden
something down here. There is a space behind a space. Returning
to the house after the investigation the daughter’s boyfriend pointed
out a cellar window that could be seen from the outside of the house but
was not visible in the cellar. Also, the homeowner’s daughter reported
back that her aunt had verified that there was a false wall in the cellar.
+ This foundation is not the foundation originally with this
house. Part of the foundation is from the other house that was here. They
built on top of the old foundation. + There is something connected with the basement and the old
house that was here before. + I see a gray haired man and an older woman with the other house. They had two children. One died and the other one was handicapped in some way, but I’m not sure how. I see him with his parents as an older child or young man. There is too much of the current house here for me to pick up much more on the other house. The old man had glasses and the woman was heavy-set and not very tall. He was very thin and a little taller than her but not much taller. That’s all I’m picking up here with the old house. |

MPR
SUMMARY +
A
clearing was performed at the end of the investigation. Although we were
unable to get our video equipment working properly to record, it was
viewable on the monitors. The daughter’s boyfriend watched the monitor
during the clearing and reported seeing a bright light go up from the
center of our circle. He also reported hearing footsteps coming down the
stairs. It is unknown rather the clearing was successful as the house had already been vacated when the investigation was conducted. |
